Why I teach golf

For me teaching golf is about helping people set and achieve goals. It's not about creating a great swing, although they sure are fun to watch, it's about helping a junior set a goal of making their high school team or more significantly playing college golf. The education they can receive will change their entire lifeand that is one of my driving motivations. Teaching golf to me is about helping people enjoy their lives better. You will play more golf if you get the ball better. But if you hit the ball better you may need some new friends. Playing golf is different than building a swing. Playing golf is about managing the course and managingyourself. Playing golf is learning to get along with others and enjoy their company. Playing golf is about overcoming obstacles assessing risk and taking a chance every once in a while.
