Top 10 Things I Wish I Would Have Done as a High School Golfer.

Errors I see high school golfers make.
Wearing layers: you can't put on what you don't have. At least wear a hat to keep the heat from escaping out of your head when it's cold.

Club selection around the green. Pitt when you can, chip if you have to, pitch if you must and Lon when it's your only option.

Expecting to hit my best shot all the time and coming up short.

Hitting the ball as hard as I can, every shot. Why hit a hard six iron when you have a five iron in your bag? Goal is 80% and make solid contact.

Know your carry yardages, especially with the wedges.

Practice what they are already good at. Use the boxes and gates at Bluff Creek.

Understand that trajectory control is distance control.

No preshot routine or visualizing the shot.

Aim at the widest part of fairways and stop trying to hit it over trees and bunkers when you don't have to.

Play to the 80-100-yard markers rather than 40-80-yards.

Crazy golf idea

Have got this really cool teaching system where I can teach anybody how to make their most natural , powerful and consistent golf swing in 90 minutes. I just came up this crazy idea to put a course together that teaches my secret method. Actually I don't know if it's a secret but I've never seen anyone else use this method. I showed it to a few friends and it works like gang busters. Any case, before I release the program, I want to make sure I really cover everything. So can you help me out and tell me what your number one challenges when you're trying to learn your golf swing?

Why I teach golf

For me teaching golf is about helping people set and achieve goals. It's not about creating a great swing, although they sure are fun to watch, it's about helping a junior set a goal of making their high school team or more significantly playing college golf. The education they can receive will change their entire lifeand that is one of my driving motivations. Teaching golf to me is about helping people enjoy their lives better. You will play more golf if you get the ball better. But if you hit the ball better you may need some new friends. Playing golf is different than building a swing. Playing golf is about managing the course and managingyourself. Playing golf is learning to get along with others and enjoy their company. Playing golf is about overcoming obstacles assessing risk and taking a chance every once in a while.
